ABOUT TBC

Established in 1998 by Ron Anton, S.J., The Beijing Center (TBC) is a non-profit higher education and research institution to foster mutual understanding between China and the world. Housed in an architecturally unique Beijing facility on the UIBE campus, TBC offers programs in Chinese language, culture and studies, hosting over 2,000 students around the world over the years. TBC maintains a 27,000-volume research library, the largest English collection on China, including rare books and maps. Hosted numerous scholars, TBC serves as a hub for the international Jesuit higher education network in mainland China, continuing a long and storied tradition of cultural engagement through friendship.
